Blizzard has only made it clear that they're working with both Microsoft and Sony to enable cross-play between the Nintendo Switch version of Diablo III and other platforms.īack in late September, Sony backtracked on their initial stance on cross-play between Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, to the dismay of many PlayStation gamers. Speaking to Business Insider, a representative from Blizzard Entertainment said that cross-play is, "a question of when, not if." It's important to note that this is not an official announcement, nor is the PC version of the game mentioned in the original article. “While we love the idea of bringing our players together across platforms, we do not have any plans to implement cross-platform gameplay for Diablo at this time.” Update: In a statement to DualShockers, a Blizzard representative offered an official statement on behalf of the company:
